About us

Established in 2009, Basketball in the community (BBITC) started as an organisation running one session a week to a couple of children that had an interest in basketball, now BBITC delivers basketball to over 200 members a week and holds over 10 sessions a week.

Our aim is to provide the best basketball education to players, coaches and referees. As you’ll see on the coaches tab, we have a range of coaches and volunteer coaches who are the next generation of BBITC coaches. The majority of our coaches have come through our player and coach programme. 

At BBITC, we provide great opportunities for all to receive high quality coaching and improve their technical and tactical understanding of Basketball. We also aim to improve players' communication and teamwork skills through fun and enjoyable sessions.
